President Biden and vice president Harris did their best to encourage and allow anyone who could get to the border to enter America. They even provided flights to bring people to America and fly them to areas within the USA. Many cities have provided free lodging, food, cell phones, and more to these illegal immigrants. I cannot help but think many of these people do not believe they broke any laws entering this country. The children who were brought along certainly did not break any laws on purpose. It is my opinion that we should immediately deport anyone who has broken any laws while in this country. Any people who break laws entering this country need to be deported. The message must be clear that only legal immigration will be allowed. I think we should give the others who are hardworking and honest and have not broken any laws a chance to attain citizenship.
Here is my suggestion for requirements to become a citizen Register with the Path To Citizenship program and pay the participation tax. This tax will be collected from the participants' paycheck like all taxes. The program will operate with taxes paid by the people who want to become citizens. It will not cost the taxpayers any money. People participating in the program will have an ID labeled non citizen, but will have the right to work.
- Live in America for 10 years without breaking any laws or taking any welfare, food stamps, or any government handouts of any sort.
- Pay taxes and social security for 10 years or be the spouse or dependent of a taxpayer.
- Learn to speak and write English. Pass the high school equivalency test in English.
- Comply with all the current requirements for obtaining citizenship that legal immigrants are required to complete.
Any person completing all these requirements should be allowed to become a citizen. Children of parents who become citizens should be allowed citizenship as well. Many democrat run cities are going to resist any efforts to deport illegals. It is my opinion President Trump should deport people from areas that cooperate. Let the “sanctuary cities” keep their illegals. Cut off all federal funds to these states/cities that are used to support illegals. Let the cities and states pay for these services themselves.
