The concentrated energy of coal, oil, and natural gas has enabled humans to live the easiest, richest life compared to thousands of years of human history with fire. I am skeptical that the burning of fuels is responsible for any climate change, however I will give a fair look to any evidence proving humans are causing climate change by burning coal, oil, and natural gas.
The current situation where the media states climate change is irrefutable without presenting evidence is questionable. The media goes further and ridicules anyone who would question their belief that climate change is human caused labeling them “climate deniers”. If the evidence exists, present the facts for us to see.
I am convinced that if we stopped using fossil fuels without an adequate replacement millions of humans will die. Synthetic nitrogen fertilizer enables us to yield substantially more crops per acre than if we used natural fertilizers such as compost and manure. Humans could not produce enough food to feed earth's population without synthetic nitrogen fertilizer. Natural gas is critical to the process of making nitrogen fertilizer. Farm equipment has no battery powered option. The concentrated power of diesel is essential to the operation of heavy equipment needed to farm.
If we stop using oil and gas without adequate replacement millions of humans will die due to lack of heating and cooling. We have occupied many places on the planet that will not support life without an adequate source of fuel. Solar, wind, hydro, and battery power are not yet reliable enough to replace coal, oil and gas.
Cement is key to modern human life. Imagine our life without cement. Roads, bridges, buildings, pylons, dams, sidewalks, pools, and so many other pieces of infrastructure would not exist as they are without cement. Every step of the process to make cement is very power intensive and will not be possible on the scale needed to support modern human life without fossil fuels.
Coal, oil, and natural gas run the economy. The 46th president of America changed the cost of fuel by choosing to intentionally make the resource more scarce. Less fossil fuels available caused the price of fuels to rise causing huge increases to the cost of life for humans. This was not the only cause but was a major factor in the inflation during this period.
